Case Study: Discovery for an electric RV
This case study showcases the collaborative efforts of my team and me in developing the innovative Winnebago eRV2. In this project, we initiated a pilot program designed to rigorously test and validate both the design and technology of the electric RV, while also exploring how potential users connect with this new vehicle type.
To ensure a user-centered approach, we conducted extensive research involving both electric vehicle (EV) and recreational vehicle (RV) owners to uncover their needs and preferences. Our research included mapping the user journey and performing a competitive analysis of existing products and services, which allowed us to identify key areas requiring focus to enhance the product's launch success and long-term viability.
Our comprehensive research methods comprised one-on-one interviews, small focus groups, social media analysis, and diary studies, all aimed at gathering valuable insights into the user experience and expectations for the eRV2.
